Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Net Pay is built to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you use the Net Pay website (the free calculators) and the Net Pay mobile app. The short version: there is no account, no login, and we do not run a server that collects your numbers.
No account and no sign-in
You never create an account or log in to use Net Pay. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other identifying details to use the calculators or the app.
Your numbers stay on your device
The salary figures you type into the web calculators are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us. In the mobile app, the inputs you enter — including salary details and any net-worth holdings you track — are stored only on your own device. They are not sent to us, and we have no server that receives or stores them.
Information from third parties
To show up-to-date figures, the app fetches some data from third-party services:
- Currency exchange rates are fetched from frankfurter.app, which sources its rates from the European Central Bank (ECB). Only the request for the rates is sent — none of your personal figures are included.
- Cryptocurrency prices are fetched from CoinGecko. Again, only the price request is sent; your holdings are not shared.
When you contact these services your device's IP address is visible to them as part of any normal internet request. Their handling of that is governed by their own privacy policies.
Advertising in the mobile app
When ads are enabled, the mobile app uses Google AdMob to display them. To serve ads, AdMob may collect a device or advertising identifier and some usage data. To keep things as private as possible:
- The app requests non-personalized ads, which are based on general context rather than a profile of you.
- The app does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and does not ask to track you across other apps and websites.
You can read how Google uses this data in Google's advertising policy and Google's privacy policy.
Children
Net Pay is a general-purpose financial tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected in the app and on this website.
